DON'T TOUCH THIS:

THE ARMYRADIOS MAILING LIST:
The e-mail list allows for online discussion between subscribers,
while
the armyradios area here at tactical-link allows subscribers to have
articles of interest posted here, including photos of their stations
and
equipment. This website also allows visitors to find out about us.
As of November 2003, the armyradios mailing list has 568
subscribers, most of which are in the United States, however
many are also in Europe, Australia, and Asia.
ON-AIR RADIO NET INFORMATION:
Members of the armyradios mailing list that live on
the US West Coast,
or in the Midwest, commonly check into our HF radio net which is now
held on Wednesday evenings at 8:00PM, Pacific Time on one of the
following frequencies:
Primary:
Secondary:
April through
October:
7296.00 KHz USB 7283.00
USB/3996.00 USB
November through March: 3996.00 KHz
USB 7296.00 USB/7283.00 USB
If you are a subscriber to the mailing list and live
either outside of the
United States, or live in the U.S. on the East Coast, or Midwest, you
are cordially urged to start up a radio net in your area.
Please notify the list members of your net time and
frequency so that
other members in YOUR area can link up with you.
UPPER SIDEBAND is used so that the net
can be compatible with
earlier types of military SSB equipment which only has upper-sideband
capability.

ONLINE CHAT ROOM AVAILABILITY:
There is also an online chat room on the onelist
website, which is
"one the air", on Tuesday evenings, at 7:00PM Pacific time
and is
located on the onelist/egroups site.
Again if you are in Europe or other areas of the
world, think about
notifying the list members of a time that would be convenient in your
area of the world to visit the chat area.
Getting to the chat area is quite easy, simply click
on the
link: <http://groups.yahoo.com/group/armyradios/chat>
Note that you will need to have registered at the yahoogroups
site
in order to access the armyradios content there, but it is simple
and easy to do...

THE REASON BEHIND THE ARMYRADIOS
WEBPAGE:
This web page allows a little more flexibility for
subscribers in that there
is an area area called the "Command Center" for
photos and personal
information from subscribers of the armyradios mailing list.
The "Armyradios Info" area is for specific
articles and information, of value
to the subscribers of the armyradios mailing list.
Anyone with an interest in military communications
equipment is invited
to submit articles on projects, and especially photos of you
operating
your station. *.JPG photos should be between 50 and 80K in file size.
If you are unable to provide *.jpg photos, you are
also welcome to mail
color prints to me, along with descriptive information. Your prints
can
then be scanned and uploaded to a separate page in the
"Command Area".
Please e-mail me: <patricia.gibbons@tactical-link.com>
Note that almost all of the photos on the
tactical-link site were taken with a
NIKON "EM" or "FG" camera and then scanned into
JPEG format through
the use of an HP flat-bed scanner.
Sincerely,
Patricia Gibbons - WA6UBE
