This is our Hoodview Amateur Radio Club site for field day - 2000, held
at
Larch Mountain, OR. about 20 miles east of Gresham, OR. Elevation approx 4500',
Mount Hood in the background. This year was fine weather, so many years are
cold, wet, and even snow on the area. This was the first trip for the S-250
shelter in civilian life, it was a welcome visitor up on the mountain.

S-250 / GRC-142B on it's first outing to field day, 2000 feet up on Larch Mt.
Here it was used for the demonstration of packet and APRS, also served as a
hangout as it was next to the Hospitality tent where all the cookies are!
