Below are some photo's of Jeff Ciccone's HMMWV with radio gear..
Quite an impressive arrangement Jeff!!

[NOTE!: Additional Photos of Jeff's NVIS antenna installations can
be found in the NVIS area]

Here are Jeff's comments:

Some info on the vehicle . It is a 1987 Humvee purchased at the
Atlanta/Bishop Bros. auction in August. I have upgraded it to the current
westcoast mirror, parking brake, airdrop rear bumper and 3 point seatbelt
MWOs.

Other options include a pioneer rack with tools,4man softop, rear
spare tire and dual fuel can carriers. To be installed - 9000lb winch,
highback bucket seats and a brushguard. Lighting includes interior armored
vehicle dome lights and 24v pilots extendable cockpit lights as well as a
24v revolving convoy light.

Commo gear includes VIC-1 intercom setup with 4 stations, VRC-46 FM and GRC-213 hf rigs. To be installed will be a GRC-193 hf ssb to replace the -213 and a URC-101 for dual band air VHF/UHF coverage.

Antennas include the AS-1729 and AB-652 rear mounts and Trivec Avant triband
sponson mount. The AB-652 may be replaced with an AT-1011 hf with NVIS tilt
adapter. Also to be installed is PSN-4? Trimble GPS unit with external
antenna. A future 24vdc-12vdc inverter will power a cellphone adapter,
AM/FM radio and a rechargeable spotlight.

I am a member of the local Emergency Management team (City of Absecon) and this vehicle could be available for commo use. I am interested in mobile NVIS antennas and am bidding on some NVIS installations for military vehicles.
