Here's the shelter, as it was dropped off the trailer a year ago. The AC vents provide some circulation of air in the summer. These will eventually be replaced by a window about 14x26 in that side. The dark frame on the top has strap loops around it and was used to store something that no one seems to know what. It is the first one I have encountered with that frame.
The back of the shelter has the AC and DC inputs as well as the exhaust fan chute (missing the filter screen) which will be removed to allow space for a 50-ft telescopic tower to be mounted to the center of the shelter, once installed on it's trailer. You also can see the aluminum frame on top a little better.
This is the inside of the shelter as we originally had intended to utilize one full-width operating position with a shelf for additional equipment just above. This has since been removed completely and the storage bin in the lower left has been moved to the other end of the left side.
Here is the shelter as it has been modified to date. The most prominent change is the move of the storage bin on the left side to the far end of the van. The desktop on the left has a box of cable and hardware from the original equipment that we are utilizing to save space. A shelf will be mounted about 12" above this left side for the HF equipment. The UHF and VHF Mitrek control heads will be mounted with their
own speakers below the shelf. The incoming power box in the upper
right has had the DC filter mounted inside the box once the
unnecessary telephone leads were removed. That makes for more space
in the van as well. The operators face away from each other rather
than the same direction. The space behind each operator may be used
for additional equipment as needed.
