It is recommended
that Members of the Armyradios Group
use the following frequencies for military tactical-FM
radios:
FM Tactical GUARD CHANNEL: 51.0 MHz
(low-power squad radios)
1st ALTERNATE FM 51.6 MHz
2nd ALTERNATE FM 51.4 MHz
3rd ALTERNATE FM 50.4 MHz
51.0 Mhz is recommended for
low-power squad radios, as most of the
AN/PRT-4 AN/PRR-9 sets come equipped with 51.0 Mhz.
It is recommended that any high-power
tactical-FM radios
(more than 10Watts)
be operated within the 50.3 thru 50.6 MHz segment in order to limit
potential
interference within the Pacific DX window of 50.1-50.125 MHz..
Recommended channels, in which all military sets would be
compatible,
are 50.4,
and 50.5
Mhz.
The alternate channels listed are for
use when significant band
openings create significant Interference on 51.0 MHz
Below is the ARRL recommended
band plan for the Amateur Radio Service between 50 and 54 Mhz:
